"Back in July 2009 I decided to enlist Angela's help in sorting out my life long wardrobe disasters – I would make classic (to me) mistakes of buying lovely patterned tops but then couldn't find anything to match with them, and didn't have anything at home to go with them either.  I also generally felt 'messy' in my clothes, not very coordinated. I organised with Angela to do a wardrobe makeover and had purposely held onto a few clothes which I wanted to rid myself of a while back.  Angela went through the whole of my wardrobe and my 'to throw away pieces' and revived several of them, she explained in detail about how getting the colour right goes along way to wearing the right clothes for you, so out went most of my black which I had thought were the right things to wear.  It was good to find that I was spot on with some of my wardrobe and then Angela showed me how to put outfits together which I would have never dreamed of,  talk about shopping in your own wardrobe, it is so true!! Since her visit, I have been wearing more of my jewellery and less black close to my face. 
 
I then decided in Sept 09 to replace some of my items with good key pieces so again enlisted Angela's help we met on a Sat afternoon and we achieved an enormous amount in the time we had. Angela was right on the mark knowing which shops would suit me in both cut and colour and I learnt plenty about shopping which I can use in the future. Before my visit we had discussed items I thought would be good, based on the gaps in my wardrobe from the previous experience and explained my issues with buying shoes, me and my wide feet always struggle! We managed to gain the majority of the items and a bonus of 3 pairs of shoes which all fitted and are great additions to my wardrobe! Angela made it all so easy! We looked at clothes I wouldn't have even thought of picking up (love my purple shirt dress!!) and Angela remembered what was in my wardrobe and explained how items I purchased would link with my existing pieces! "After 3 years wearing Maternity or "Breastfeeding-kind" clothes having had two kids, I was completely fed up with my frumpy wardrobe and after long sleepless nights and beginning to not take care of my appearance - sad but true! - I wanted to feel more feminine again.  Angela was inspirational she took a quick look through my wardrobe told me what "gaps" needed filling and listened to my needs.

"My experiences with Angela, "the Style Angel", have been absolutely brilliant.

Firstly Angela came to my home for a style and colour consultation. From the moment we started I knew I was onto something good! After all these years of wearing the same style of clothes and the same types of colours, my eyes have been completely opened as to what looks good on me and what doesn't.  I think of all the money I have wasted over the years on clothes that have never been worn and just sit in my wardrobe. Thanks to TV shows such as Trinny And Susannah Undress The Nation and How To Look Good Naked, most of us know there's an "expert" who can help us makeover not only our homes and gardens – so yesterday – but also ourselves. Make-up artists, hairdressers, cosmetic surgeons, personal trainers, stylists, counselors… Personal  and community services are driving the jobs boom, with 220,000 jobs created in these sectors in the past decade, according to a 2006 Census report. But why choose just one? You could use a head-to-toe makeover company such as Transforme Total Image Consultants, who will organise everything  from a weight-loss strategy and wardrobe makeover to teeth whitening, personal training, styling and success counseling. Meanwhile, Sydney-based Image Consultants offers colour and style advice as well as personal training, hairdressing and make-up, and there's even M2F, "a discreet male-to-female makeover service" for cross-dressers in Melbourne....From mini-makeovers to the full overhaul, business  is booming as more people contract someone else to manage their look, lifestyle or personality, says Bernard Salt, social commentator with KPMG.  "We are the plasma-TV generation who are more celebrity, health and looks conscious, as well as more self-empowered, than a generation ago," he says. Sydney mother Lucy Jackson, 31, admits that not many people, especially those with children, ever  feel totally comfortable with the sort of transformation service she herself bought. She found life coaching invaluable when she launched her shoe business, Beautiful Soles, but when her son, Bruno, now  19 months old, had surgery for velo-cardio-facial syndrome, a life-threatening heart problem, she felt herself slipping into depression. Through counselling, Jackson came to terms with the illness and started to regard herself as fortunate for having two children. So she treated herself. "It had been a tough couple of years and I hadn't spent any money on myself, even for haircuts," she says. From counselling, "I had changed as a person and the outside of me did not reflect the inside any more, I had neglected myself." She says her husband, Alan, fully supported the $3000 she spent with Transforme. "Having this transformation gave me back some of the self-confidence I had lost." "Oh my God, the difference between the preparations for this wedding and my first," laughs Cairnes. "I know which one I'll keep in my memory." Some might think makeovers are self-indulgent – after all, will a new eyeshadow, a different skirt length or a better-fitting bra change your life? I had the pleasure of spending 3and 1/2 hours with her last Friday and I feel it was the best shopping investment I have ever made. In our initial contact Angela had already given me some homework to do and so when she arrived at my home she came with a printout already full of tips for me and a colour analysis chart. Angela first scanned my existing wardrobe and offered many new and exciting suggestions to utilizing my clothes. Also with great tact and diplomacy she pointed out my shopping mistakes and gave me the reasons for them. Every one of these were the outfits that when I have got them home and put them on I have never felt right in them and back they go into the wardrobe, now thanks to Angela I know why. Angela had inquired about my budget and although that was not a great concern to me I finished up purchasing outfits in a range of prices.A pair of pants cost me just $49 and one of my tops was $19 both of which look great on me, so whatever your budget I am sure Angela will find you something. We also headed for the lingerie department where the bra fitting was the most "uplifting" experience and I fully recommended to any lady if they have never had a professional bra fitment to go and get one. From my time spent with Angela I am confident that I have learned to shop productively and avoid the costly mistakes made in the past.Her invaluable advice has already given rise to many positive comments from friends and colleagues and I am no longer standing in front of my wardrobe lamenting the fact I have nothing to wear. "The "Workshop on How to dress Right for Your Body Type" was really great for me. I went home and re-looked at my entire wardrobe and saw it in a different light. I also re-looked at my body through your eyes and now don't see this gross waistline. I now have a much better idea about lines and shapes. I sat having coffee at the shopping center and categorized people into triangles, inverted triangles, rectangles, squares and hour glass. It was quite instructive. I can look in the mirror and see the hour glass shape and have a better idea about how to make my waistline appear thinner by the use of lines and shapes. I threw out some clothes that did not have shape. I had bought these thinking this was a way to hide my waist but now I see that fallacy. I went shopping (only to look) and as you said saw things I had previously looked past so I did see things in my colours and lots of things with vertical lines around the waistline. So I am feeling pretty good about myself and hope I can get a first date in over 10 years!!!"
